2021 Seniors
The first thing you should know, I try my absolute hardest not to pick a favorite type of session to photograph because I truly do love them all but, Senior sessions are one of my absolute favorites! I always find myself in my creative niche when I am able to work one on one with my seniors. From styling them, to finding best best spots around to match their personalities and their own views for their senior portraits to editing their photos, I love every bit of it !
I wanted to answer a few questions that I get asked often when scheduling my seniors. Most commonly is, “where do we do them?”. As you will see below we do most of my outdoor photos at my farm location in scio ! I have around 300 acres full of different spots we are able to travel to, to make your photos unique to you ! I also love using the industrial and vintage look of downtown Wellsville for my seniors who like something a bit different from the farm scenery. One of my favorite spots in Wellsville is the library. You will see in my photos some shots against a brick building and thats the library location. I like to have fun with my seniors so its nothing out of the norm when people see me at the ice cream shops treating my seniors to some ice cream and snatching adorable shots of them throwing sprinkles in the air. I also travel to different schools to document seniors athletic passions. If you want to travel to your own home, farm, or special spot, I’m always up for an adventure so I will meet you there !
I also offer professional hair and makeup with a local stylist for any seniors who desire to have this professionally done for their session. If this is something you would like to add to your session feel free to just ask me and I will set everything up for you ! As far as wardrobe styling I have an online professional styling program that will show you great wardrobe options for your senior session to match your own style and my photo style as well !
Last but not least please DO NOT worry or stress about your session ! I will take care of everything for you and I promise we will have fun doing it ! I will guide you through all of the posing, which really isn’t much posing at all. I try to have everything feel and be as natural as possible. Wether it’s dancing in a hay field, eating ice cream, throwing a football on your home turf, riding your horse, skateboarding, playing an instrument, bringing your dog, bringing your best friend and doing your session together, bringing a cool car or setting up decoys in a field for an awesome duck hunting shot (yes, I’ve done that) I got you, I promise !
The farm
As i’m sure you’ve noticed the farm in which I live on plays a huge role in my business. It’s not only my home but also the location I do most of my outdoor shoots at. My animals love friendly visits from my clients and usually my clients, especially the kiddos, love to see them as well ! I also love documenting photos of my animals and the roles they play here on the farm, which explains the option above stated farm prints. It makes me smile seeing my the photos i’ve taken around the farm hung up in my clients homes.
My husband and I have always shared a passion for the farm lifestyle and love enduring all it is together with our children. Wether its long cold nights in the barn helping a new mama deliver her calf, trail riding with the horses, cleaning out the chicken coop, hauling cattle all day, working fields, or making hay, we truly do love it all.
We also neighbor next to my parents who also live on a farm. We work the two farms together and manage over about 130-140 head of cattle. So as you can imagine most of our “free time” is spent farming, but like I said, we love it. A typical day for us involves morning chores, mid day chores, and night chores. Each one spent making sure every mouth is fed, every stall is cleaned and all the animals are happy and healthy. The animals on this farm are truly loved and definitely spoiled but I’m not gonna lie, they make the perfect bribery for a few smiles from the littles !

You’ve booked a session and like you, I’m so excited ! Now that you’ve booked a session we will work out all of the details on how to prep for your session. Now you’ve got your outfits, what’s next ? Next up is your session ! I usually touch base a day or two before our session to go over any details such as where to meet me and weather. Most sessions are done at my farm or studio which I will privately send you the address to. If we have chosen otherwise I will meet you at the spot we discuss. I like my sessions to be stress free and fun. I want you to just be yourselves by playing, laughing, dancing and just being together. I don’t like stiff posing so please don’t stress over looking perfect or having the perfect hair and pose. The best photos always come from natural and genuine moments.
After the session ? Now I will upload your photos to my computer and hand edit each photo individually making any touchups needed and apply my hand crafted style edit to each photo as well. My typical turn around time for your digital is approximately 2 weeks. I have spent years perfecting my style and look for my images and I am so excited to show you yours ! When I have finished your images I will send them to you through an online gallery that will have full instructions on how to download and save your digital images. From there you can order your prints through me OR you have the option to upload them to any online website and order your own prints. Photography chose me
A camera has been in my hand since I was a teenager. My parents bought me a camera for Christmas one year and instantly fell in love. I spent most of my time documenting the animals around our farm and the lifestyle of farming that we lived. I loved telling our story in photo form. From there it grew to taking pictures for my family members who always were so kind to compliment and encourage me. Then before I knew it their friends were asking me to take photos and then their friends and then I was spending anytime I could photographing sweet families and I was loving every bit of it. However most people don’t encourage you to leave high school and just be a photographer.
So, I attended Alfred State College for about two years studying veterinary technology and was working to become a vet tech. At this point I ran my own photography business, went to school, worked as a waitress at a local country club and also worked at a local vet as a vet assistant. I found myself constantly pulled in so many directions and having to sacrifice what I loved and what I had a passion for to make time for other things. This was when I knew I had to make a change. I decided to follow my heart and I left college and my jobs to pursue my photography business full time. None of this would have been possible without the support of my husband, family and clients. It’s something I will always be SO incredibly thankful for. Thanks to all of you I have been able to have my dream become a reality.
I have now owned my own business for 7 years. I have spent countless hours investing my time and money into education to make sure I can deliver you the absolute best experience possible.
